Sleep

Sleep is a highly underrated activity.  Who invented sleep?  It's curious that our minds and bodies need such a chunk of time to 'shut down' or recharge in order to function for the next day.  I'm wondering if the creation of sleep came first or the creation of night?  If you've ever had trouble sleeping, not just one night; but all night - or worse - several nights in a row; then you'll agree that sleep is imperative for even minimal functioning.  And now, I'm off to attempt sleep for this evening.  It's a late one here; two teens off to the winter formal who need a ride home kept me up a bit later than usual.  Sleep will be welcomed tonight!
